Note the auxiliary fuel tank under the seat on the sled above. Quite a number of Scouts, including one
of mine, have this. Was it a factory option or something after market? Does anyone know?

This Mark III Super Scout (above) also has the auxiliary underseat fuel tank. I believe these were an accessory
available from aftermarket suppliers.
